What is Wax Play?

Wax Play involves letting small amounts of melted wax fall onto the skin in a consensual, adults-only setting. The experience is not only about warmth: the flame, the waiting, the rhythm of the drops and the attention given to your partner’s reactions all contribute to the moment.

As with any sensory practice, communication is essential. Start gently, observe the response and adjust the distance, amount of wax and rhythm gradually.

Why choose a low-temperature candle?

A candle designed for Wax Play is more suitable for this type of exploration than an ordinary decorative candle. Our new candles are made from soy wax and are unscented. Their approximate 15 × 3.3 cm format provides a comfortable grip and helps maintain a controlled movement.

  • Low-temperature soy wax for a gradual approach;
  • unscented to keep the sensory experience focused;
  • two colours: black or burgundy;
  • easy-to-handle format of approximately 15 × 3.3 cm;
  • available individually or as a duo.

One candle or the black and burgundy duo?

Choose one black or one burgundy candle for €11. To enjoy both colours, the duo contains one black candle and one burgundy candle for €18 instead of €22. It is an easy way to vary the visual atmosphere or share the experience as a couple.

How to begin with wax play

  1. Prepare the area: protect the surface and keep a safe way to extinguish the flame nearby.
  2. Agree on limits: discuss permitted areas and choose a clear stop signal before starting.
  3. Test first: begin with a few drops on a small, less-sensitive area.
  4. Keep your distance: a longer fall gives the wax more time to cool before it reaches the skin.
  5. Progress slowly: adjust distance and rhythm according to your partner’s feedback.

Essential precautions

“Low temperature” does not mean risk-free. Do not use wax on the face, eyes, neck, mucous membranes, genitals, damaged skin or areas with reduced sensitivity. Keep the flame away from the body, hair, ropes and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and stop immediately if discomfort occurs.
